Design
The first and one of the main differences between Redmi AirDots 3 and Redmi AirDots 3 Pro is design.
As you can see, they not only have different charging cases, but also the earbuds themselves.
Both of them have silicone eartips, and they are IPX4 waterproof.
By the way, the new Redmi AirDots 3 Pro is available only in black and white colors, while Redmi AirDots 3 have more colors options, such as white, pink, and blue.
Features
Another big difference between the Redmi earbuds of the third generation is that Redmi AirDots 3 Pro supports adaptive active noise cancellation. Redmi AirDots 3 doesn’t have ANC at all.
The new Xiaomi earbuds have three stages of ANC – light with 15db, balanced with 25db, and depth with 35db of noise reduction. The earbuds adjust the noise cancellation automatically depending on environment sound levels.
Also, the new Redmi earphones have transparent mode and vocal transparency.
However, Redmi AirDots 3 and AirDots 3 Pro have some common features, such as Bluetooth 5.2 technology, a 9mm driver, and aptX support. I think the sound quality of these earbuds should be similar.
The other features of the new Xiaomi earbuds are dual device smart connection, smart wear detection, find earbuds using a smartphone.
Battery
You know, I was surprised to learn that Redmi AirDots 3 has longer battery life than the new Redmi AirDots 3 Pro. The difference is not big, but the new earbuds still have less battery life than the previous version.
Redmi AirDots 3 Pro has up to 6 hours of battery life on a single charge with ANC off, and 28 hours with a charging case.
The battery life of Redmi AirDots 3 is 7 hours on a single charge, and 30 hours with a charging case.
However, the new earbuds support wireless charging.
Price
OK, now let’s talk about the price. As I said at the beginning of this article, Redmi AirDots 3 Pro is more expensive than Redmi AirDots 3.
We can see on Aliexpress that the price of AirDots 3 is $36, while you can buy Redmi AirDots 3 Pro for $59.
You know, I think that the difference in price is not so big, but you get more features buying the new earbuds, such as new design, adaptive noise cancellation, wireless charging support. However, the sound quality and battery life of Redmi AirDots 3 and AirDots 3 Pro are about the same.
