UiiSii TWS808 Review: Dual Driver TWS Earbuds Under $50

In today’s article, we will talk about the new wireless earbuds called UiiSii TWS808. Actually, UiiSii is a new brand for me, but they have many wireless and wired earphones.

Talking about UiiSii TWS808, I am very excited about these earbuds because they have many features, such as nice design, dual dynamic drivers, USB Type-C charging port, IPX5 waterproof, and others.

So, let’s start the review with unboxing, and then talk about design, connection, sound quality, and battery.

Unboxing

As you can see, the box of UiiSii TWS808 is transparent, so we can see the charging case and earbuds inside.

On the back, there are main features and specifications, such as Bluetooth version, charging time, music playtime, speaker size, etc.

Inside the box, except charging case and earbuds, there is USB C cable, extra ear tips, and user manual.

Design

You know, the design is one of the main factors in choosing new earbuds. UiiSii TWS808 looks very interesting. The earbuds are made of plastic, but they have a metal looking finish.

These two circles are not buttons. You cannot press them.

The earbuds have touch control. There is even a sticker on them, which shows the location and size of the touch button.

The microphone is on the outside. Inside, there are two charging contacts and silicone eartips.

By the way, did you notice a transparent case? You can see what’s inside. That’s very interesting.

You will be using the earbuds for at least a few hours a day, so they should be comfortable. The manufacturer says that they developed a triplepoint design for a perfect fit. However, you should choose the right size of ear tips.

The earbuds are really comfortable for me. I am using the eartips of medium size.

Also, UiiSii TWS808 is waterproof by the IPX5 standard. The earbuds overcome water, sweat, raindrops, and other splashes.

As for the charging case, it is a standard size. The dimensions are 70 by 40 by 32 mm.

The weight is about 62 grams with earbuds inside.

As you can see, the lid of the charging case is transparent, so you can see the earbuds inside. However, if you want to see the battery level, then you still need to open the lid.

On the back, there is a USB Type C charging port.

We will talk about the battery capacity of the charging case and earbuds a little later. Now, let’s connect them to smartphone and check the sound quality.

Connection

When you first connect the earbuds to the mobile device, you need to remove them from the charging case, go to Bluetooth settings on the smartphone, and choose UiiSii TWS808.

The next time the earbuds will automatically be connected to the mobile device. You just need to open the charging case.

By the way, you can use one earbud for calls or listen to music. Choose left or right earbud, and just left the second one in the charging case.

Control Functions

UiiSii TWS808 earbuds have many control functions, such as play/pause with a single tap.

If you want to change the volume, then double touch the left or right earbud.

The triple touch activates voice assistant on smartphone.

You can also answer or end the call with a single touch, and reject the call with the long press for about 2 seconds.

To play the next or previous song, just press left or right earbud and hold for about 2 seconds.

Sound Quality

As I already said, UiiSii TWS808 earbuds are equipped with dual dynamic drivers. The first driver is for trebles, while another driver is designed for bass. Thus, in theory, you get a balanced and high-quality sound. But, what’s the real situation?

The speaker’s size is only 6mm. That means the volume level is not very high. However, I listened to music in crowded places, and the volume is OK.

The bigger driver also provides a little cleaner bass. I have tested earbuds with 8 and 10 mm drivers, and they have about the same bass as these earbuds.

I think that the dual-driver is really a good deal.

UiiSii TWS808 earbuds also have a cVc 8.0 microphone to reduce noise during phone calls.

Battery Life

Now let’s talk about the battery. One earbud is equipped with a 40mAh battery, and this is enough for 4 hours of music playtime.

The charging case has a 600mAh battery. You can charge the earbuds in the charging case for almost 7 times, or about 26 hours. The total battery life of UiiSii TWS808 is 30 hours.

By the way, the earbuds support fast charging. 10 minutes of charge is enough for 1 hour of listening to music.

Conclusion

UiiSii TWS808 cost only $50. For this money, the earbuds are really good.

First, they have a very stylish and comfortable design. The next feature is the USB Type C charging port. I am very tired of micro USB port, and I am glad that these budget earbuds have a USB C charging port.

Also, I like that UiiSii TWS808 has a volume control.

The last, but the main feature of these earbuds, is dual dynamic drivers. The size of the driver is not very large – 6mm, but the sound quality is very good.

For $50, UiiSii TWS808 are excellent earbuds.
