You will not surprise anyone with a rugged smartphone nowadays, but what about a rugged tablet? I think it is even more useful on construction sites, workshops, etc, because the tablet has a larger screen than a smartphone.
The new FOSSiBOT DT2 is one of the most powerful rugged tablets on the market in 2023, because it has Helio G99 chipset, 12GB of built-in RAM and 256GB of internal storage, 64MP camera and a huge 22000mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
Let’s take a look at the design of this tablet first, because I think it looks amazing, and then we will talk about its specs.

Design
So, the FOSSiBOT DT2 is a rugged tablet, and it is certified to IP68, IP69 and military standards. The manufacturer promises protection against water, drops, shocks, and even high and low temperatures.
At least on paper, this tablet looks very good for heavy-duty jobs.
The corners of the tablet are rubberized, while the back panel is partially made of aluminum. You know, aluminum is unlikely to protect against damage, and it’s more of a decorative design, but I really like the way it looks.
The FOSSiBOT DT2 has a handle on the back panel so you can comfortably hold a tablet with one hand. If you don’t need the handle, you can take it off.
Another feature on the back is a powerful 1W flashlight. It can be used as a camp light, for underwater shooting and other scenarios.
The FOSSiBOT DT2 tablet has a dual main camera, but we will talk about it a little later. You know, at first, I thought the fingerprint scanner was next to the camera, but it is actually located on the side face.
The new rugged tablet has four speakers, two on each side.
Display
If we look at the front panel, we can see the 10.4-inch screen here. It has 2K resolution, 1200 x 2000 pixels, and 500nit maximum brightness.
Performance
You know, the FOSSiBOT DT2 doesn’t look like a gaming tablet, but it has good hardware, such as Helio G99 chipset, 12GB of built-in RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
You can also expand the RAM to 20GB using software, and internal storage to 2TB using a memory card.
I think this hardware provides good performance for daily use, and even heavy gaming.
Camera
As I already said, the FOSSiBOT DT2 has a dual main camera with 64MP main sensor, but we have no information about the second sensor. The manufacturer says it is a VGA camera. To be honest, I don’t know what that means.
In any case, the 64MP main camera should take good pictures.
The tablet also has a 32MP front camera. That’s very good.
Battery
I left the most important feature of this tablet for last. The FOSSiBOT DT2 is equipped with a huge 22000mAh battery and 66W fast charging support.
On the official website we can see 1800 hours of standby time, 145 hours of music playback, 110 hours of calling, 60 hours of gaming, 50 hours of camp life and 36 hours of video playback. That’s very impressive.
As for charging, we don’t know how long it takes to fully charge the battery, but the company promises 120 minutes of movie watching from a 15-minute charge.
Connectivity
By the way, I forgot to mention that the FOSSiBOT DT2 has a dual SIM card slot with 4G network support as well as Wi-Fi 6 support.
Price and Release Date
